What is the minimum age to rent a car in Dubai?
The minimum age is 23 for most cars. For higher-value luxury and exotic models the requirement is usually 25 or older, and some also ask for a licence you have held for a year or more. Do residents need anything different?
UAE residents do not use an IDP. If you hold an Emirates ID and a valid UAE driving licence, that is all you need. Residents on a foreign licence usually have to convert it once they have residency.

- Salik is the toll system. Gates on roads like Sheikh Zayed Road charge automatically. Ask your rental company how tolls are handled on your car.
